Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth just did what every American patriot has been begging our leaders to do for years—stand up to Europe’s smug elites and put America first. Pulling 5,000 U.S. troops out of Germany isn’t just a strategy change. It’s a huge wake-up call to so-called allies who love taking advantage of American strength while bashing us at every turn.
The German chancellor thought it was smart to mouth off about America’s tough stance in the war with Iran. Instead of taking her lead from people who actually defend Western civilization, she’d rather throw stones from the safety they’ve enjoyed thanks to our troops. Liberals and globalists gush about “partnership,” but when it comes to stepping up, they vanish – hiding behind their own anti-American double standards.
For too long, Germany and the rest of Europe have leaned on U.S. power while sneering at our values and leadership. They want American military might protecting their borders, but heaven forbid we expect a little gratitude or respect for America’s right to make tough calls. Enough is enough. Hegseth’s move finally tells Germany that the days of freeloading off American blood and treasure are over.
Of course, the left will whine about “unity” and fret over hurt European feelings. They’d rather America keep funding Europe’s defense while getting insulted in return. Where’s the outrage when these “allies” slam U.S. policy, or drag their feet while Iran threatens the world? Liberals are more interested in scoring cheap shots against their own country than facing the hard truth: friends don’t sabotage each other, and Americans shouldn’t pay for those who hate our guts.
If Germany wants to second-guess the nation that guarantees their freedom, maybe it’s time they stand on their own two feet. Why should U.S. troops risk everything for countries that can’t even stomach American courage? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to let Europe find out what real responsibility feels like.
