The radical left in Los Angeles is at it again. Instead of focusing on fixing crime, homelessness, or crumbling infrastructure, the socialist wing of the City Council is busy trying to rewrite the very definition of American citizenship. Now, led by Councilman Hugo Soto-Martinez, these so-called leaders want illegal immigrants to have the right to vote in city elections.
You heard that right. The same people who broke our laws to come here are now being handed a say in how our city is run. Honest, hardworking citizens who pay their taxes and play by the rules are shoved aside in favor of globalist virtue-signaling. It’s nothing more than a blatant power grab. The left knows their ideas don’t work, so their answer is to simply import new voters.
Let’s not pretend this is about justice or equality. It’s about holding onto power at all costs. These politicians can’t fix LA’s corruption or out-of-control spending, so their next trick is to pad the voter rolls with people who have zero allegiance to the country or respect for its laws. Liberals preach about “defending democracy,” but now they’re the ones happy to water down the power of the American citizen. The hypocrisy is stunning.
Taxpayers are forced to foot the bill for a city that puts their interests last. While families struggle to pay soaring bills and beg city hall for basic services, the City Council is obsessed with pushing the agenda of open borders and socialist fantasies. How many more times will the left ignore actual citizens just to push their anti-American nonsense?
At the end of the day, giving non-citizens a vote is not about fairness—it’s about erasing what it means to be an American. If citizenship means nothing, why bother having laws or borders at all? Maybe that’s exactly what these far-left extremists want.
