Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick—another face in the Democratic machine—has now been slapped with a federal suspension that cuts her off from any more taxpayer cash. Why? Because she and her buddies stand accused of siphoning off millions in COVID relief funds. This wasn’t just a little mistake or bad paperwork—this was outright theft from people struggling during a crisis.
Let’s call it what it is: liberal greed, plain and simple. While hard-working families lost jobs and watched business shut down, Democrats were out there lining their pockets with relief money. The party that claims to be for “the little guy” spends all its time getting rich off the very disasters they claim to fix. The American people foot the bill, the politicians get their paydays, and when it comes time to face the music—these liberals run for cover.
Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick didn’t just quietly retire. She bolted as soon as the heat turned up—right after a House probe started digging into her crooked dealings. That’s what the left calls “leadership.” When Republicans talk about draining the swamp, this is exactly the kind of swamp creature they’re talking about. Democrats make big promises about “transparency” and “integrity,” but their actions prove otherwise time and time again.
The Department of Homeland Security taking a stand and cutting her off from federal funds is a start—but let’s not kid ourselves. This is just one example in a growing list of liberal politicians who think the law doesn’t apply to them. Where’s the outrage from the mainstream media? Where are the primetime scoldings about trust and honesty in government? When a Democrat gets caught, the whole thing gets swept under the rug.
America deserves better than politicians who treat the treasury like their own piggy bank. Maybe Democrats should stop preaching about fairness and actually practice it for once. Or does “equity” only apply when they’re the ones getting rich?
