The arrogance from Iran is off the charts. Here we are, watching as the regime in Tehran tries to dictate terms to the United States yet again. Their latest “deal”? Open the Strait of Hormuz and end their threats to global shipping—but only if the U.S. lifts the naval blockade on Iranian ports. In other words, America is supposed to blink first, all while Iran keeps holding the world’s energy supply hostage. Anyone with common sense can see what’s really going on here: Iran’s tyrants want to tighten their grip on power and finance their terror machine, while conning the West into rolling over.
This is what happens when Democrats and their globalist friends run America’s foreign policy—weakness becomes a habit, and dictators like the mullahs in Tehran smell blood in the water. Maybe if Biden’s State Department spent less time worrying about pronouns and “equity,” and more time projecting American strength, we wouldn’t be in this mess. But instead, under the current administration, Iran feels bold enough to start listing demands.
It hasn’t always been this way. When President Trump was in office, Iran thought twice before rattling its sabers. Our enemies respected American military power, and more importantly, they feared it. Yet now, with leftists back in charge, Iran senses opportunity. They’re not playing games—they see the shipping lanes as a giant bargaining chip and expect Washington to cave like they did in the failed Obama-era “Iran Deal.” How’s that working out for American families facing higher gas prices and economic instability?
Does anyone truly believe Iran would keep its side of the bargain? History says otherwise. Every time the West gives an inch, Iran takes a mile, backing terror proxies from Yemen to Gaza and threatening peace in the Middle East. It’s the same failed playbook over and over: appease the ayatollahs, and get burned in the end. The only thing that gets their attention is clear, unapologetic American resolve.
If liberals and their globalist partners spent half as much energy defending America’s interests as they do coddling dictators and placating rogue regimes, this country would be a lot safer. Maybe it’s time to ask—when will the left start putting Americans first instead of falling for every bad faith offer from the world’s most dangerous thugs?
