Elizabeth Warren celebrated killing the Spirit Airlines deal now thousands are jobless and travelers lose

Elizabeth Warren is once again proving that the left’s so-called “progressive” policies are anything but smart or helpful for the average American. Warren, along with Pete Buttigieg and Joe Biden, spent months grandstanding about “protecting consumers” by sabotaging the Spirit Airlines and JetBlue merger. Well, mission accomplished—Spirit Airlines is now crushed, 14,000 Americans are out of a job, and the same air travel elites Warren claims to oppose are cheering.

Here’s the liberal hypocrisy on full display: Warren proudly took a victory lap after tanking the merger, bragging that it would stop higher prices and fewer flights. Now, she’s suddenly crying about a lack of competition in the airline industry—as if she didn’t just help wipe out one of the last remaining budget airlines in America. Only in Washington do these people get away with torching an industry and then whining about the ashes.

The reality is, by blocking this merger, Warren and her friends handed even more power to the big airlines they supposedly rail against. Thousands of hard-working Americans are left jobless while Warren’s progressive buddies pat themselves on the back for “saving the consumer.” Who exactly did they save? Definitely not the travelers who will face fewer choices and higher prices.

Social media isn’t letting her forget it. Warren is getting roasted left and right for her utter lack of self-awareness. But that does nothing for the honest workers and families hurt by her policies. Her legacy here isn’t some consumer rights win—it’s 14,000 pink slips and one less American business.

This is the left’s playbook: destroy opportunity, then complain about the very mess they made. They’re out of touch, driven by ideology, and when real Americans pay the price? All you get is empty words and crocodile tears. How much more “help” can this country take from the likes of Elizabeth Warren?
