Some liberals love to shout that America was never a Christian nation. They want everyone to believe our country was built on nothing more than cold, secular logic. But that just isn’t true—and deep down, they know it. The real history of the United States tells a different story: our founders, from the very beginning, were heavily influenced by biblical values and religious faith. No matter how badly progressives want to scrub that fact from the record, religion helped shape America’s foundation.
Just look at the evidence. The founders read the Bible. They lived in a time when church was woven into daily life. Their language, their debates, even their framework for rights and laws—it’s all soaked in religious influence. Yes, the founders believed in freedom for all religions, but that freedom didn’t spring out of a vacuum. It was inspired by centuries of Christian teaching about conscience, morality, and the rights of the individual. The secular left acts like these ideas just popped up by magic. In reality, they were inherited from a Judeo-Christian heritage.
Of course, some historians now try to gaslight Americans. They cherry-pick letters and documents to pretend the founders were just a bunch of detached deists, allergic to Christianity. But anyone who takes a real look at their lives can see how the Bible shaped their thinking—especially on natural rights and human dignity. The anti-religion crowd is desperate to deny that influence, because it exposes the glaring holes in their narrative. They claim to champion tolerance and freedom, but they want to erase the very beliefs that made those ideas possible.
There’s an ugly hypocrisy here. Liberals will scream about the “separation of church and state,” but they have no problem shoving their own beliefs into every corner of public life. They want drag queens in schools, but balk at anyone mentioning faith or family. They crow about inclusion, but silence the religious voices that made this nation great in the first place. They don’t want history—they want control.
The truth is simple: America’s founders refused to create a theocracy, but they also refused to banish faith from the public square. Religion shaped them. The Bible shaped them. And that influence still matters today. The loudest voices on the left can’t erase the foundations of this country just because they make them uncomfortable. Will we stand up for the truth our Founders lived—or let liberal elites rewrite America in their own godless image?
