Another day in Joe Biden’s America, and yet again, chaos rears its ugly head even in the places that should be the safest. A gunman, Cole Tomas Allen, marched right into the heart of official Washington and shot a Secret Service agent during the White House correspondents’ dinner — that’s supposed to be a celebration of free speech and journalism, not a shooting range. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Washington, D.C., isn’t mincing words about who pulled the trigger. If the alleged shooter had any hope the D.C. swamp would cover for him, that hope just got blown away.
Where’s the outrage from our so-called liberal “elite”? Most of them were too busy schmoozing, sipping overpriced champagne, and patting each other on the back while a federal agent was fighting for his life. The correspondents’ dinner, this annual circus where journalists and politicians mingle, is the premier showcase of the ruling class. And yet, even their fortress couldn’t stop violence from burrowing its way in. Isn’t this exactly what conservatives have been warning about—when you glorify lawlessness and ignore basic security, chaos wins?
How about the left-wing media? They can’t seem to stop harping about “gun violence,” but where were their calls to hold criminals accountable when it actually happens in their own backyard? Take a look at Washington, D.C. under the status quo—it’s become a magnet for criminals who know they’ll get a slap on the wrist, as long as they say the right things and vote the “right” way. The people in charge seem more interested in passing gun laws that only punish law-abiding Americans, while refusing to enforce the laws that would actually stop criminals.
Let’s be honest: this attack happened because liberal policies have made it easier for criminals to thrive. When government refuses to crack down on crime with real consequences, when prosecutors play political games, the American people suffer. Everyday citizens can’t depend on the Secret Service or any government official to protect them if the people running this country keep turning a blind eye. If even our nation’s protectors can be shot at so easily, what chance does the average family in Anytown, USA, stand?
Will Americans keep tolerating this, or will we finally demand leaders with the backbone to keep us safe? Maybe the liberal elite would get serious about crime if they faced the dangers ordinary people deal with every day. Or maybe they’ll keep hiding behind armed guards while telling the rest of us we don’t need protection. One thing’s for sure—Biden’s America is anything but safe.
