If you listen to the hysterics from Democrats and the mainstream media, you’d think America is hanging by a thread—and of course, it’s all supposedly Donald Trump’s fault. These same leftists shout from the rooftops about some epic “crisis for democracy,” but let’s face it: what they really want is a screaming mob in charge. They wrap themselves in the flag and shriek about threats to the republic, but what they’re pushing isn’t democracy at all. It’s mob rule—an ugly, self-serving “mobocracy” that cares nothing for laws or reason.
History already warned us about this mess. Ancient Athens started out as a democracy, but when selfish politicians began stirring up the masses and chasing popularity, the result wasn’t anything pretty. It was chaos. Demagogues whipped up popular anger and wrecked any chance for stability, all to grab more power for themselves. The mob was always “right”—at least until things fell apart and anarchy reigned. Sound familiar? That’s exactly where today’s loudest leftists want to take America.
Every time Trump defends common sense—like saying it’s not realistic for the federal government to bankroll day care, Medicare, Medicaid, and every social program under the sun—the left melts down. Democrat politicians come crawling out of the woodwork, screeching that any dollar spent on defense is proof conservatives hate the needy. It’s always a wild comparison: “If only we didn’t spend on security, we could give everyone everything for free!” They ignore spiraling debt, ignore what’s best for the republic, and demand that their loudest followers drown out anyone with a dissenting opinion.
Why? Because under “mobocracy,” anyone who questions their priorities is declared a villain. The left doesn’t debate—they manufacture panic, run with wild conspiracy theories, and pretend their radical ideas are the only “true” American values. They call for dismantling safeguards like the separation of powers and rule of law. They want to bulldoze any institution that stands between them and total control, all while acting offended if you point out the hypocrisy.
And the hypocrisy is stunning. The same Democrats who cry crocodile tears about protecting elections never mention their own vote-buying schemes, open borders, or attacks on election integrity laws. They whine about the “rule of law” being in danger, yet cheer when Biden ignores Supreme Court rulings or when Obama’s administration weaponizes government agencies. They rant about Trump’s alleged “corruption” but turn a blind eye to Biden’s family’s influence peddling, even when the evidence is right in front of everyone’s face.
Here’s the ugly truth: When the left complains about threats to “democracy,” they’re mourning the loss of their grip on the mob. They want to destroy constitutional checks and balances, erase national borders, and hand ultimate power to whichever crowd yells the loudest. Call it what it is—mobocracy, not democracy. America was founded as a constitutional republic for a reason. Maybe it’s time the left picked up a history book instead of rewriting the rules every time they lose.
How much longer will patriotic Americans let a mob of globalist, power-hungry elites hijack the country and call it democracy?
