Albany wants to let murderers walk free just because they got old stunned families demand answers

Albany’s liberal politicians are at it again, pushing the radical Elder Parole bill while honest New Yorkers shake their heads. This insane plan gives violent criminals—yes, even murderers—a shot at getting out of prison just because they’re old. Apparently, if a convict has hit 55 and done 15 years behind bars, the left thinks that alone wipes away their crimes. What a slap in the face to victims and their families.

No one forced these monsters to commit terrible acts. Now, progressives want to treat age like some golden ticket for early release. It’s as if criminals deserve a reward for getting older, while law-abiding citizens are left to wonder why justice never seems to apply to the worst among us. Instead of keeping dangerous people locked up where they belong, the left wants to empty the cells and flood our streets, all in the name of “compassion.”

Let’s not pretend this is about second chances. This is about weak-on-crime Democrats showing more sympathy for felons than innocent New Yorkers. Their priorities are totally upside down. Albany’s lawmakers act like criminals should be coddled, not punished. That’s what happens when globalist elites and woke activists get to write our laws.

Families of victims are the real ones paying the price. Every time these bleeding-heart politicians put convicts’ feelings ahead of public safety, honest people suffer. It’s easy for lawmakers in their protected offices to play hero to the worst of society. But they won’t be the ones in danger when an “elderly” ex-con moves in down the street.

Why isn’t anyone in Albany asking what the victims want? Why do criminals get to bargain for freedom, just because they’ve had another birthday behind bars? It’s pure nonsense. If New York wants to stay safe and sane, it needs leaders who care about order—not about giving hardened criminals another shot at life on the outside. Has common sense become a crime in this state?
