It’s almost comical watching the left trip over their own double standards every week. Late-night hosts, Ivy League elites, and social media warriors line up to spew hate toward President Trump, calling him every name in the book, acting as if he’s some kind of comic book villain. But when the rhetoric actually leads to violence—and let’s be honest, it has—they’re desperate to pretend it’s somehow Trump’s fault or that “words are violence” only when conservatives do the talking.
Bill Maher of all people just proved how broken this logic is. Maher isn’t a conservative, but at least he has enough backbone to talk to people he disagrees with. Unlike the rest of the terrified left, he doesn’t act like you’ll catch a disease by sitting next to a Republican. Shocker, right? While the mob screeches about Trump being a danger to democracy, Maher admits the truth: the real danger comes from nonstop media hysteria that whips up hatred. And who is actually out here trying to kill people? It’s not the folks waving American flags at Trump rallies.
Maher was fed up with the ridiculous excuses from his guests. When a lefty academic compared Trump’s campaign to a wrestling match—implying the President brings attacks on himself—Maher stopped her cold. There’s a world of difference between mean tweets and the kind of psycho talk pouring out of the left. Newsflash: wishing violence on your political opponents isn’t clever, and it isn’t brave. It’s sick and dangerous. But it’s become mainstream on the left, fueled by a media more interested in clickbait than facts.
Trump has never called for civil war. He’s never told anyone to go out and murder Democrats. Yet the left has spent years convincing themselves Trump is Hitler 2.0, and the only answer is to “take him out.” These people genuinely believe removing a man they disagree with will solve all their problems. News for them: making a martyr doesn’t make the opposition go away. That only pushes this country closer to chaos.
So keep spinning, liberals. The whole country sees that your outrage is only aimed one way. Trump might call a journalist a name on TV—that’s not the same as treating assassination as a solution. The real threat isn’t Trump supporters. It’s a radicalized, unhinged left that’s abandoned decency and reason for bloodlust. If this is progress, then America deserves way better.
