California loves to act like it’s the king of “sustainability.” Liberal politicians out west are always wagging their fingers at the rest of America, preaching to us about green energy and how everyone should follow their so-called leadership. But now, that same “sustainable” California is getting caught with its hands tied behind its back—because the last oil tanker carrying crude from the Middle East is finally unloading at Long Beach. After this, the state’s pipeline of foreign oil is drying up, at least for now.
This isn’t a proud moment for the liberal elites in Sacramento. They’ve spent years destroying their own oil industry in the name of climate change, shutting down energy jobs and making it nearly impossible to produce American oil here at home. Instead of taking care of their own people and supporting American workers, they became addicted to foreign oil. Now, with deliveries from places like Iraq about to stop, they’re staring down an energy crisis—and it’s one they created all by themselves.
Let’s be clear: this is the direct result of California’s anti-American, globalist energy policies. Left-wing lawmakers tied the state’s fate to foreign dictators and unstable regimes, all while trying to shut down American drilling. They talk a big game about saving the planet, but when the ships stop coming, who pays the price? Average Californians—hard-working people who just want to fuel their cars and keep the lights on. Meanwhile, the woke millionaires running the show will keep preaching as if nothing’s wrong.
The hypocrisy is off the charts. California loves to pat itself on the back for “fighting climate change,” but when it comes time to deliver real energy to real people, they’re not just behind—they’re completely lost. Liberals refuse to admit their system is broken. They won’t blame themselves. Instead, they’ll probably blame oil companies, or “big business,” or just invent some new crisis to distract us all. Isn’t it something to see socialist-lite policies crumble every time they’re put to the test?
When the lights start going out and gas prices skyrocket in California, maybe the rest of America should take note. Blue-state dreams of “sustainability” keep ending in disaster. How many failures will it take before liberals get out of the way and let America power itself the right way—using its own resources, by its own people, for its own future? Or is common sense too much to ask in the California dream world?
