Something remarkable is happening on America’s doorstep, but don’t expect any of the open-borders crowd to talk about it. While the United States struggles to control its own border, the Dominican Republic is showing the world what real leadership and common sense look like. President Luis Abinader isn’t apologizing or bowing to international pressure. He’s protecting his country from chaos by deporting hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants, most of them from Haiti. Nearly 380,000 in one year alone. Imagine that—a nation finally saying enough is enough.
Compare that to the embarrassing mess our own leaders continue to tolerate. Almost half a million illegals deported in the US last year, and yet millions more waltzed right through crumbling borders, cheered on by globalists, left-wing activists, and bleeding-heart bureaucrats. They claim it’s compassion, but it’s nothing but incompetence and neglect. Crime skyrockets, communities buckle under social program costs, American workers are shoved aside—and the Biden administration yawns.
In the Dominican Republic, Abinader understands what’s at stake. Letting borders dissolve is a threat to national identity, safety, and public order. Haitian gangs run wild across his country’s border, and instead of wringing his hands or blaming “historic injustices,” Abinader takes action. He refuses to let international elites or politicians in fancy buildings tell his citizens they don’t have a right to their own country. Can you picture Joe Biden or Kamala Harris standing up like that? Didn’t think so.
Liberals love to wag their fingers at countries that enforce their migration laws, branding them “racist,” “xenophobic,” or “inhumane.” But when their own voters face the consequences of illegal immigration—broken schools, higher taxes, violent crime—they go silent. They’ve let globalist interests destroy countless communities in the name of “tolerance.” Funny how no one asks everyday Dominicans if they want waves of lawbreakers pouring in. Maybe the American people should have had a vote too.
If our leaders had even a fraction of the backbone President Abinader shows, America might still be a place where the rule of law matters. Instead, we get endless excuses while our sovereignty slips away. The lesson is simple: nations that stand up for themselves survive. Those who don’t? Well, just look at the southern border disaster and ask yourself—how much more can we take?
