Diplomas or Dogma? Liberal Professor Hijacks Michigan Graduation for Anti-Israel Agenda
It’s supposed to be a day for caps, gowns, and achievement. But at the University of Michigan, a radical professor decided the thousands of hardworking graduates weren’t there to celebrate personal milestones. No, according to him, commencement was just another chance to peddle left-wing, anti-Israel dogma and praise pro-Palestinian protest mobs.
Instead of giving these young adults a moment they’d treasure forever, this faculty member shamelessly turned the event into a megaphone for his latest political obsession. He didn’t thank parents or recognize the hard work of students. He gushed over radical activists who spent the last two years disrupting campus life with their anti-Israel rants. Apparently, if you scream loud enough or camp out on the quad, that’s worth more than four years of honest study.
Even the university’s own president had to scramble to stop the bleeding. Leadership issued a public apology, trying to walk back the circus after parents and donors erupted in outrage. They made it clear this speech had nothing to do with official university values—and rightly so. Graduation is supposed to be about unity, not a captive audience forced to listen to one professor’s globalist guilt trip.
Liberals love to preach “tolerance,” but that’s only true when you agree with their brand of activism. If someone used the mic to give thanks for Israel’s right to defend itself—would he still be at the podium? Or would the left try to cancel him before he made it to the second sentence? There’s a word for that: hypocrisy.
This should terrify every parent sending their kid off to college. Instead of celebrating American achievement, our elite universities are devolving into soapboxes for the latest woke causes. Is this the higher education families are going into debt for? When will the left stop hijacking our institutions and let students actually enjoy a day that’s meant for them?
