Another innocent family just paid the ultimate price for our broken borders and Democrat coddling of illegal immigrants. In a horrific act that should make every American’s blood boil, Roman Amatitla—a man in this country illegally—stands accused of torching an apartment in Flushing, taking the lives of four people, including a tiny 3-year-old girl. Where is the outrage from the left? Where are the calls for justice for these victims?
Let’s be honest: this tragedy didn’t have to happen. Law enforcement had a chance to cooperate with ICE and put this dangerous man on a one-way trip out of America. Instead, progressive officials like Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz decided to play politics, ignoring the warnings and letting ideology get in the way of public safety. Once again, sanctuary policies meant to virtue-signal to their elite pals have resulted in bloodshed.
Democrats march in the streets, demanding open borders and fewer consequences for criminals. But when families are ripped apart by violence, they shrug and deflect. The truth is, the radical left puts globalist interests and criminal rights above the lives of everyday Americans. They are more concerned about illegal immigrants being “offended” than they are about protecting our neighborhoods.
Is this what “compassion” looks like? Dead children and grieving parents? Liberal politicians like Katz refuse to face the deadly reality of their own policies: when you refuse to work with federal immigration agents, you invite chaos. You allow dangerous individuals to slip through the cracks, turning American communities into crime scenes.
A three-year-old girl is gone because the left cannot admit that their failed, anti-American experiment is putting us all at risk. Why should anyone trust these so-called leaders to keep us safe when their number one priority seems to be appeasing lawbreakers from beyond our borders? It’s time to ask: how many more families have to be destroyed before the left finally admits they’re wrong?
