Instead of protecting citizens from crime, D.C. police bigwigs were busy playing games with crime data—and now heads are finally rolling.
Let’s not sugarcoat what just happened. Top officials in the Metropolitan Police Department are getting fired because crime numbers were messed with on their watch. They weren’t honest with the very people they swore to protect. Instead, they tried to cook the books, as if hiding violent crime would make it go away. This is what you get when liberal “leaders” care more about their own images than about real safety on the streets.
But what’s truly outrageous is it took the threat of Congressional action just to spark any accountability. The city’s own police union—frustrated, powerless, and tired of the lies—had to watch as politicians covered for their friends until finally people in Washington, D.C. got fed up. If Congress hadn’t rattled its chain, would the truth have ever seen the light of day? American families living in our nation’s capital deserve so much better than this mess.
This is the ugly face of left-wing management. First, they let criminals run wild in the streets. Then, when the numbers start looking bad for them, they try to hide the evidence. It’s a shameful attempt to trick law-abiding Americans into believing they’re safe, while the real dangers are swept under the rug just to protect political hacks. This is exactly what happens when globalist elites try to turn our great cities into progressive playgrounds—with zero consequences for incompetence and corruption unless someone in Congress starts making some noise.
If this crime data fiasco happened in a conservative-run city, the media would be running nonstop specials about “corruption in law enforcement.” But because it’s D.C.—and because it’s packed with leftist cronies—they want you to look the other way. How much more proof do we need that leftist policies don’t work? If the people in charge can’t even keep track of basic crime numbers, why should we trust them with anything else? Washington, D.C. isn’t just a political circus—it’s turning into a crime-ridden disaster.
