It’s official—America’s justice system is upside down. In a country where law-abiding citizens get trampled on for daring to defend themselves or speak out, the so-called “alleged attacker” of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner gets treated like a victim. A judge actually went out of their way to apologize to Cole Tomas Allen. You read that right—the guy who’s making headlines for allegedly going after an event full of elites just got a personal apology for his “treatment” in jail.
Where was the apology for American parents thrown in jail for protesting at school board meetings? Where’s the sympathy when conservatives are cuffed and dragged off for the crime of owning the wrong bumper sticker or quoting the wrong book? Instead, liberal officials are bending over backwards to coddle an accused criminal. This is the same kind of soft-on-crime thinking that has made big cities unlivable and left innocent Americans in danger.
Let’s not kid ourselves about what’s going on. The judge’s apology isn’t about “fairness.” It’s about signaling to the leftist mob that their activists and agitators will get kid-glove treatment—while the rest of us get thrown under the bus. The legal system has become little more than a pawn in the hands of globalist elites and their media enablers. If you’re on the “right” team, suddenly you’re the one who needs protection. Being tough on crime is only for people who dare to speak out against radical policies.
We all know what would happen if the roles were reversed. Would a conservative sitting in jail for an alleged attack at a leftwing gala get so much as a moment of sympathy? Not a chance. The media would trash them, the court would slam them, and the left would be cheering. When the target is the establishment, it’s suddenly “cruel” to expect accountability for breaking the law.
America deserves better than this two-tiered system. Our courts should care more about law-abiding citizens than about the comfort of accused attackers. Maybe it’s time to ask whose side those judges are really on—because it sure isn’t the American people.
