When it comes to the violent chaos brewing in the Middle East, the so-called “leaders” of the West never seem to learn. Now, France’s Emmanuel Macron is running to make nice with Iran yet again—even as that regime laughs in the face of American strength, stokes the fires of global terror, and threatens our closest ally, Israel. With tension turning up across the region, instead of standing strong, the French president is dialing up Tehran—hoping that a polite phone chat will somehow calm the raging storm. It’s laughable, and it’s dangerous.
Liberals and globalists love to trot out diplomatic theater, treating murderous regimes like Iran as if they’re misunderstood children in need of a gentle touch. Where does that attitude get us? Nowhere good. Iran funds terror, foments violence, and reminds the West every single week that it does not respect international “norms.” Yet here we have France leading the parade for more talks, more endless negotiation, more empty promises. This isn’t smart foreign policy. It’s appeasement, pure and simple.
What message does this send? Weakness. Instead of rallying Europe and the United States to defend the values that keep Western civilization alive—like strength, freedom, and support for Israel—Macron’s move hands the initiative to radicals. All it takes is a few stern words from the same regime that chants “Death to America,” and suddenly liberals think we’re heading for peace. It’s as if these virtue-signaling elites never paid attention to history class. Appeasing tyrants only invites more aggression.
Let’s be clear: Iran is not interested in joining the choir of “peace” the left keeps singing about. They’re exploiting every opportunity the West hands them. Every moment Macron and his pals tie themselves in knots chasing “dialogue” with dictators, they ignore the real lesson—strength deters enemies, and weakness emboldens them. This isn’t complicated, unless you happen to be a European bureaucrat or a Biden State Department flunky with a pathological need to apologize for America.
Where are the real leaders? Who will have the guts to call out Iran for its evil, support our friends, and make it clear that the free world will not negotiate away its safety for the sake of elite cocktail party approval? America knows the answer isn’t in Paris. It’s stunning—will any Western power remember what backbone looks like, or will they just keep dialing into disaster?
