Texas Democrats sure know how to pick ‘em. While liberals up in Maine can’t seem to steer clear of candidates tainted by Nazi sympathizers, the Texas left is already tripping over itself to stand behind someone even shadier. James Talarico, a supposedly rising star in their party, is now drowning in questions about how he acts around kids—and not the kind you can excuse as a simple mistake. His old Facebook posts are finally surfacing, and Texans are right to be alarmed.
This is what happens when the Democratic Party puts virtue signaling above actual vetting. Talarico, who’s supposed to represent families and Texas values, has a history that doesn’t pass the smell test. The Democrats, of course, are closing ranks faster than ever, pretending that nothing is wrong. What happened to all that talk about “protecting children” the left likes to shout about whenever it scores them easy political points? Apparently, that only applies when it’s a Republican they’re attacking.
It’s no shocker. Liberals are experts at projecting their faults onto others, chanting about so-called threats to democracy as they ignore rotten conduct within their own ranks. When there’s a chance to make a conservative look bad, they’ll drag out baseless allegations all day long. But when one of their own is caught posting stuff that would make any parent’s skin crawl, suddenly it’s a “private matter” or just some harmless “youthful mistake.” Give me a break.
Let’s be honest: Democrats will protect their golden boys no matter what. They don’t care about real accountability; they care about power. It’s a disgusting double standard, but nobody should be surprised. Globalist elites and progressive insiders have always looked the other way when one of their own falls short. It’s how the left operates—rules for thee, and none for me.
Parents across Texas and this great country deserve better than someone with a creepy reputation and a party eager to sweep it under the rug. Democrats can hide behind their talking points, but families see right through the charade. Maybe it’s time for the left to stop lecturing the rest of us on morality—and start cleaning up their own house. How many scandals will it take before Democrat voters wake up and say enough is enough?
