Gavin Newsom loves to act like he’s above the law. Now, California’s governor is making headlines again — but not for solving any of the chaos he’s unleashed across the state. No, this time he’s grabbing state resources to guard himself when things get tough. While Newsom insists he’s innocent — and sure, nobody’s slapped him with formal charges yet — that isn’t stopping him from using taxpayer money to gear up a legal defense team. Apparently, it isn’t enough that California families have to pay for his endless left-wing experiments. Now, they get to foot the bill for his personal problems, too.
Isn’t it ironic? The same liberals who preach about “equality” and “justice” are now using public funds for their own power games. Newsom claims Federal agents have been snooping around his circle, asking tough questions. But instead of coming clean or keeping things transparent, he’s circling the wagons — and using your money to do it. Is this the “transparency” Democrats brag about?
It’s always the same story with the ruling elite — protect themselves first, ask taxpayers to pick up the tab, and then act shocked when people are fed up. Newsom’s cozy club of globalist donors and political insiders always seems ready to bend the rules in their favor. Isn’t it funny how the same crowd talks about “holding the powerful accountable,” but scrambles for cover when a Democrat is in the hot seat?
California is falling apart under these policies. Crime is up. Businesses are leaving. The middle class is shrinking. But somehow, Newsom always finds time to defend himself, not the people who elected him. Instead of fixing the mess his far-left agenda created, he’s busy hiring lawyers — and sticking you with the invoice.
Nothing makes you lose faith in “progressive leadership” faster than watching a liberal politician run for cover with your checkbook in hand. Will Democrats ever stop treating everyday Americans like pawns in their personal chess games? Or will the Newsoms of the world keep proving that, in blue America, the rules are only for the rest of us?
