Trump Promised Tough on Iran but His Deal Hands the Strait of Hormuz to the Mullahs

President Trump walked into the White House promising a bold new path on Iran. He told America his deal would be different—tougher, smarter, and better than the disaster Obama handed us. But now look at where we are. The Strait of Hormuz is practically being held hostage by the same radical Iranian regime that’s been thumbing its nose at the West for decades. Instead of standing up to the mullahs, Trump’s so-called “deal” just handed them a brand-new list of demands and a louder voice on the world stage.

Let’s not forget that Obama was the guy who bent over backward to appease Iran, shoveling them cash while they laughed in our faces. Trump swore he’d never repeat that stupidity. But this new agreement? It’s even weaker. It gives Iran control over the most important oil choke-point on Earth and leaves American interests in the dust. How is this “America First?” It looks more like “America last, Iran first.”

The big talk from Washington means nothing if U.S. leadership keeps caving to these foreign tyrants. Globalists and liberal elites will cheer anything that makes America look weak, as long as they can keep their oil profits flowing. Where are the so-called tough negotiators now? While Iran tightens its grip on vital shipping lanes, working-class Americans back home are the ones who’ll suffer at the gas pump and in the job market.

It’s almost like the Democrats want America held hostage. They’re happy to pat each other on the back and march in step with the world’s worst actors—all in the name of “diplomacy.” Never mind that Iran will never honor any deal. Maybe the Ivy League geniuses in D.C. forgot that Iran’s leaders have called for “Death to America” more times than they’ve kept their word.

This isn’t leadership. This is surrender, plain and simple. President Trump was supposed to fix Obama’s failures, not create new ones. If standing up to Iran means making deals that are even worse for America, maybe it’s time to stop making deals altogether. Or do these politicians really care more about impressing their globalist buddies than protecting this country?
