Democrats in New Jersey are throwing tantrums again, this time because Homeland Security had the audacity to stand up for law and order. Instead of rolling out the red carpet for open-borders activists, DHS said “no thanks” when local Democrats demanded access to Delaney Hall, a facility run by ICE. Naturally, the left erupted, shrieking about transparency—when what they really want is chaos at the border and a free-for-all for illegal aliens.

This is the same old show from the anti-ICE crowd. They love to pretend they support secure borders, but every time it matters, they stab our immigration enforcement in the back. Democrats are more interested in political grandstanding than they are in actually keeping Americans safe. They aren’t upset because they care about the detainees; they’re upset their latest political stunt got shut down.

Let’s be honest. If Democrats had it their way, the doors to every ICE detention center would be flung wide open. Anyone, no matter their status or criminal record, would waltz right in—and then right back out onto our streets. That doesn’t keep families safe. It doesn’t protect our country. All it does is make illegal immigration easier and threaten law-abiding citizens.

It’s not about oversight or compassion. It’s about undermining the people trying to do a difficult, thankless job: the brave men and women of ICE. The left’s endless attacks only embolden criminals and weaken our borders. Democrats say they’re fighting for justice, but what they’re really after is erasing our national identity, one “visit” to a detention center at a time.

Americans are sick of politicians who treat immigration laws like mere suggestions. Homeland Security did what it needed to do—putting facts, reality, and the safety of the American people ahead of political theater. Maybe if Democrats spent less time pestering our law enforcement officials and more time standing up for our country, we wouldn’t have a crisis at the border in the first place.
