You read that right. An American landmark, supposed to be restored, ends up defaced and ruined while D.C. politicians shrug their shoulders and look away.
Just weeks after taxpayers paid up to $15 million to polish up that iconic pool, it’s already falling apart. Sabotage and vandalism have left an eyesore: ugly blue coating is peeling away and the water is stuck with a nasty green algae bloom. The so-called experts who claim they care about history and public spaces have failed, yet again, to do the one job they had—protect the Reflecting Pool from criminal acts and basic decay.
Let’s not kid ourselves. This was no accident. When Trump calls out intentional sabotage, the left twists itself into knots to avoid the truth. But facts are facts. This is targeted vandalism and disrespect for our country’s heritage. Liberals in D.C. just spent millions that could have gone to fixing failing schools or helping veterans, but instead, gave us a disaster—because keeping monuments clean doesn’t fit their woke agenda nearly as much as renaming them or tearing them to the ground.
The so-called ruling class has proven time and again how little they care about preserving anything that’s actually American. These are the same people who ignore the violent crime in their own backyard until it’s politically convenient. Now, when our most iconic pool is attacked, they can’t move fast enough to cover it up—or blame someone else for their own mistakes.
