As families grieved and streets ran red, Illinois’ Democrat governor, J.B. Pritzker, seemed more interested in pushing his political agenda than actually keeping his citizens safe.
It’s the same tired story: liberal leaders wring their hands, pass the blame, and refuse to face the facts. Their soft-on-crime policies have turned Chicago into a war zone, where criminals feel emboldened and law-abiding families live in fear. Pritzker’s big government approach keeps failing, but he seems too busy lecturing folks about “equity” and “diversity” to actually crack down on the violence shattering his own backyard.
Now, after another bloody weekend, Donald Trump has stepped up like the true leader he’s always been. He’s making it clear—if Pritzker and his Democrat cronies can’t handle this crisis, real leadership stands ready to help. But will the governor swallow his pride and actually ask for help from the man who puts America First? Or will he keep playing politics while his city suffers?
It’s an absolute disgrace. How many more children must be caught in the crossfire before these liberal elites admit their anti-police, soft-on-crime experiments have failed? Instead, they whine about “root causes” and throw taxpayer money at programs that don’t make people safer. Is that what so-called “progress” looks like? For families trapped in these communities, the body count tells a different story.
President Trump gets it—safety and law and order come first. Pritzker should pick up the phone instead of hiding behind empty slogans. But for liberals like him, it’s always about their own power, never about the people. Maybe one day Democrats will care more about victims than about scoring political points. Until then, Chicago’s chaos is their shame.
