It seems the liberal fairy tale keeps falling apart. Rep. Ilhan Omar, famous for her radical ideas and constant finger-pointing at hardworking Americans, has a husband who can’t run a business to save his life. That’s right—the man who married into political power failed miserably in business last year. Now, while regular folks scramble to pay the bills, he gets to put his feet up and cash in on her taxpayer-funded salary. This is the American dream, leftist-style: fail at real work, cling to a politician, and live off money that isn’t yours.
You can’t make this stuff up. The champions of so-called “equity” and “justice” have their own lives fully funded by someone else. Omar’s husband is now living large, totally dependent on his wife’s government income. It would be laughable if it weren’t such an insult to the very voters these Democrats pretend to care about. These elitists demand more government handouts, but can’t seem to run a business themselves. It’s easy to talk down to the working man when you never have to be one.
Funny—liberals love to preach about hard work and independence. But when it’s their turn to walk the walk? Not a chance. They talk big in Washington, push their reckless spending, and lecture the rest of America, all while their families avoid real work and real consequences. No doubt, the D.C. crowd looks after their own. Average Americans have to hustle, but the family members of Democrat politicians get to lounge around and enjoy the perks of political privilege.
This is exactly what happens when we send radicals to Congress who are more interested in woke talking points than real solutions. Omar has built her career on attacking American traditions and values. Now, her own household is a living example of entitlement and failure. Instead of building a business, her husband simply waits for the next welfare-sized paycheck—paid by you, the taxpayer.
So let’s get this straight: if you’re an everyday American, liberals don’t want you to succeed on your own. But if you’re part of their privileged class, you get to coast through life without lifting a finger. Is this really who Americans want running the country? Or is it finally time to hold these hypocrites accountable?
