The latest meltdown over Iran shows just how shaky the Trump ticket is when it comes to standing up for our allies. Instead of backing Israel, Trump and his VP choice, JD Vance, are busy hurling attacks—hardly the kind of leadership America needs right now. Israel is fighting for its very survival, but all we’re hearing from this ticket is blame and division.
It sounds like the Trump campaign is rattled. They know the world is watching, and instead of showing strength, they’re flailing. Vance, the supposed conservative voice, is taking free shots at Israel—an ally we should be defending, not scapegoating. Since when do Republicans jump on the bandwagon of blaming Israel for the failures created by weak liberal foreign policy? The Democrats have already thrown Israel under the bus for years. Now some so-called Republicans want to join them.
And let’s talk about Iran. It’s clearer than ever that appeasement doesn’t work. Whenever the left takes charge, they bend over backwards for the world’s biggest sponsors of terror. Now the Trump camp is so busy reacting to the left’s failed policies that they’ve lost sight of who the real threats are. The last thing America needs is to see our own leaders add fuel to the fire by attacking our friends in Israel.
Globalists and their mouthpieces love to lecture the rest of us about “nuance” and “resets,” but when the bullets fly and Iran makes dangerous moves, they run for cover or blame our allies. America First is supposed to mean standing with the people who fight for freedom, not kicking them when they’re down. Supporting Israel is about standing up for Western values—something the left and now too many so-called conservatives seem to have forgotten.
If the Trump ticket thinks trashing Israel is going to win respect from our enemies, or win over global elites, they’re dreaming. Real leadership means telling the truth: Israel is our friend. And anyone attacking Israel to score cheap political points is making a huge mistake. Can Americans afford to trust leaders who talk tough on Iran while kneecapping our strongest ally in the Middle East? The answer is obvious.
