Another weekend. Another bloody mess in Chicago. Seven more families shattered. Seven more funerals to plan. The so-called “progressives” in charge of that city just wring their hands and throw out empty promises. Meanwhile, the bodies keep piling up. Where is the leadership? Where is the outrage over innocent blood spilled on American streets?
If Chicago’s far-left mayor and Illinois’ Governor Pritzker ever cared about real solutions, they would have called for help long ago. But they stick to the same failing playbook: blame everything except their own soft-on-crime, anti-police policies. Anyone paying attention knows these policies have made Chicago a playground for criminals and a nightmare for hard-working families. What do Democrats really care about—the safety of their citizens, or the applause from their radical base?
President Trump has the guts to say what weak-willed liberals won’t: enough is enough. He tells Governor Pritzker to ask for backup before even more blood soaks Chicago’s streets. But Democrats would rather let neighborhoods burn than admit conservative policies work. They love to preach about compassion, but where is their compassion for the young black men dying every week? Where is the justice for their grieving mothers?
Instead of owning up to failure, leftists keep pushing the same “reforms” that gut law enforcement and handcuff the real heroes. Their obsession with “equity” has turned into an open invitation for gangs and thugs. Chicago families deserve security and order—not endless empty talk. But you won’t find that coming from the globalist cocktail parties or woke university lecture halls.
America deserves cities that value every citizen’s right to life and freedom. If liberal politicians can’t even keep families safe in their own neighborhoods, how can anyone trust them to run a country? The real question for Chicago is simple: how many more deaths until the left admits they were wrong?
