Los Angeles is going up in smoke—again. And the so-called leaders of California? They’re nowhere to be found. A massive warehouse fire ripped through Boyle Heights this week, sending clouds of toxic smoke over the city night after night. Residents watched in horror as black fumes poured into their neighborhoods and the flames tore through a major food storage facility. But where were Mayor Karen Bass and Governor Gavin Newsom while L.A. was suffocating? Hiding behind their failed policies, as usual.
As firefighters fought a losing battle, one thing was crystal clear: liberal leadership has left Los Angeles dangerously exposed. Why are these emergencies now routine in California? Because the big government leftists who run this state are always playing catch-up, never planning ahead. They’re too busy pushing pie-in-the-sky green fantasies and virtue-signaling to their Hollywood donors to care about the safety of working Americans. When a warehouse full of solar panels erupts in flames, it’s a direct result of these reckless, “green at all costs” agendas.
This is what happens when the ruling class is more interested in chasing headlines about climate change than actually protecting people from disaster. Flimsy regulations, bloated bureaucracies, and endless finger-pointing aren’t just annoying—they’re downright dangerous. While everyday folks worried about the toxic air, Newsom and Bass stuck to their talking points, ignoring the real needs of the community. This isn’t leadership. It’s classic liberal incompetence, with real families left to pay the price.
Meanwhile, the elites just keep rolling out the same failed playbook. More regulations, less accountability, and a handy scapegoat every time things go wrong. The globalists in charge sold everyone a bill of goods about solar power and “green” infrastructure, but when the rubber meets the road (or the panels meet the flames), there’s chaos and confusion. Americans deserve better than this endless cycle of disaster and excuse-making.
Ask yourself: how many more disasters does L.A. need to suffer before the left admits their policies are a total failure? Maybe instead of pandering to activists and jetting off to climate conferences, California’s leaders should try protecting their own city for once. Don’t hold your breath.
