Texas Democrats are showing just how far they’re willing to sink in their quest for power. The latest disaster? Bobby Pulido, the scandal-ridden liberal darling running for Congress, thought it was just fine to bring a registered sex offender to perform at a middle school concert. That’s not a typo. Pulido paraded an accordion player who had done prison time for sexually abusing an 8-year-old right into a school full of unsuspecting kids.
This is not some case of “oops, I didn’t know.” Pulido knew exactly who his bandmate was. In fact, he’s bragged about bailing this man out of jail in the past. Even after his pal finished serving time for repulsive crimes, Pulido invited him back—almost like nothing had happened—all while children sat in the audience. Are these the standards Democrats now hold for public officials? Maybe in their twisted world, but normal Texans are sick to their stomachs.
But wait. The rabbit hole goes even deeper. When the sex offender buddy had earlier run-ins with the law, it was Pulido’s own family connections that swooped in to make the charges disappear. His great-uncle, a county district attorney, conveniently dismissed additional sexual assault charges. That’s the sort of family values Democrats seem to celebrate—protecting predators while gaslighting parents concerned for their children’s safety.
Let’s not pretend Pulido’s own record is any better. This is the same guy who’s plastered explicit content on his social media and filmed himself in a cross-dressing, perverted music video. The left’s answer to “diversity” and “representation” is apparently a man who can’t keep it together, online or off. Liberals love to lecture regular Americans about values while covering up (or just ignoring) the degeneracy in their own ranks.
South Texans deserve leaders who put children first—not radical politicians who would rather play dress-up and shield criminals. When Democrats wonder why they continue to lose ground in places like Texas, maybe they should look in the mirror. If this is the best candidate they can send to Washington, what does it say about their party? Maybe the real question isn’t why Pulido acts this way—but why any Democrat still gets a vote at all.
