China has always loved to put on a show. When the world celebrates, Beijing desperately wants to be in the spotlight—even if that means faking its way in. Now, the World Cup is in full swing, and China is making a big fuss. The problem? There’s no Chinese soccer team even playing.
Instead of sending athletes who could actually compete, China is cheering for its referees and factories. That’s right—while the rest of the world focuses on the game, Chinese state media breathes a sigh of relief every time a referee gets camera time or a “Made in China” souvenir pops up. It’s like a participation trophy for a country that can’t even qualify. Liberal pundits love to praise China’s “rising influence,” but this is just embarrassing.
China talks a big game about being a world superpower. But let’s face it—they can’t even build a soccer team that makes the cut. All they’re left with is bragging about being the world’s number one manufacturer of t-shirts, hats, and keychains. That’s the kind of “leadership” globalists admire? Please.
What’s even more laughable is how eager state-run propaganda outlets are to convince their people—and the world—that this matters. They spin stories about China’s “success” at the World Cup, ignoring the obvious truth. If you can’t win on the field, distract everyone with trinkets and empty pride. That’s the communist way: control the narrative until reality fades away.
Liberals in America should take notes. Propaganda, hollow victories, and smoke-and-mirrors spectacle are not real achievement. Maybe if the left was as focused on work, discipline, and actually earning success as they are about feelings and participation medals, American greatness wouldn’t be slipping away.
So here’s the tough question: How long before our own leaders try to sell us the same nonsense? America doesn’t need a trophy for showing up. We need to win. Just don’t expect to learn much about that from China.
