Obama judge blocks soda ban now your tax dollars pay for junk food

Once again, the so-called “experts” in black robes are telling Americans what they can and can’t do with their own tax dollars. A federal judge—handpicked by Barack Obama, of course—just stepped in to block a common-sense rule that would have stopped people from using welfare benefits to buy sugary soda. That’s right: hardworking citizens are footing the bill for junk food, and now the swamp is making sure it stays that way.

Let’s get real. SNAP benefits—also known as food stamps—were supposed to help people get back on their feet. They weren’t meant to bankroll a diet of sugar water and empty calories. But leave it to leftist judges to protect the big soda companies and the welfare lobby, instead of promoting real nutrition or fiscal responsibility.

Remember when liberals pretended to care about public health? Suddenly, the party that lectures everyone else about obesity and diabetes is fine with poor families guzzling soda on the taxpayer’s dime. It’s the kind of hypocrisy only the left could pull off, serving up lectures for the working class while keeping the government cash flowing to the junk food industry.

The logic here is twisted, but it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect. Liberals want total control over what normal Americans eat and drink—but when it comes to government handouts, anything goes. Anyone who dares to fix the broken system gets slammed by the courts. The message? Voters and taxpayers don’t matter—special interests and activist judges call the shots.

Why should anyone trust an Obama-appointed judge to make decisions about personal responsibility and public funds? If the elites in Washington really cared about America’s health, they’d stop sabotaging any effort to bring some sanity back to the welfare system. But maybe for them, a sugar rush is better than letting people stand on their own two feet.
