Something rotten is brewing in Brooklyn—and it’s not the coffee. The owners of Poetica Coffee have decided to play the role of political gatekeeper, kicking Rep. Dan Goldman out of their shop and proudly advertising it. Why? Simply because he dared to support Israel. It’s another sad example of radical activists running small businesses like private playgrounds, silencing anyone who doesn’t march to their left-wing drumbeat.
Remember when coffee shops served everyone, regardless of politics? Not anymore. Today’s trendy baristas are more giddy about canceling their neighbors than getting the espresso just right. It’s clear these so-called “inclusive” liberals only care about diversity until someone disagrees with their globalist agenda. The message from Poetica is loud and clear—if you don’t toe the progressive line, you’re not welcome, not even for a cup of joe.
This isn’t just about Dan Goldman. It’s about the growing intolerance infecting our cities. When a local business feels emboldened to refund and ban an elected Congressman for standing with America’s closest ally, something is seriously off. The left preaches tolerance, but their actions betray a deep and toxic hatred—especially when it comes to Israel. How convenient that their favorite targets are always those who reject their anti-American bias.
Instead of serving good coffee, Poetica has chosen to serve up divisiveness and petty politics. What’s next? Loyalty oaths before you get your morning muffin? Will conservatives and centrists have to hide their beliefs just to enjoy a cup of coffee in peace? Liberals talk a big game about inclusivity, but when push comes to shove, they’re the first to lock the doors.
America is supposed to be about freedom—freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, and yes, even freedom to disagree. Apparently, Poetica Coffee missed that memo. Maybe we need more Americans who stand up to this nonsense and fewer hipster coffee shops trying to police our beliefs. If Brooklyn’s baristas want to play politics, let them—just don’t expect real Americans to swallow their bitter brew.
