It’s outrageous what’s happening in New York City’s schools. Taxpayers are coughing up a whopping $45 billion a year, shoveling more than $42,000 into the system for every student. And what do we get for that kind of money? More waste, more shady deals, and more clueless leadership — not real education for our kids. This isn’t education; it’s a cash machine for the connected.
Kamar Samuels is supposed to be in charge. But honestly, it’s obvious he’s not up to the job. The system is packed with leftist administrators who care more about advancing their pet social agendas than actually teaching students. Everything is about keeping the right “woke” people happy and handing out jobs to friends. Merit and results? Forget about it.
Let’s not kid ourselves about leadership. The ones at the top, like Mamdani, have no intention of hiring anyone who’d actually clean up this cesspool. Their mission is to protect the status quo — and fill it with more cronies, more mouthpieces, more people who just follow the failed party line. They keep promising change, but nothing changes except the faces cashing fat paychecks.
Meanwhile, families are left scrambling. Students are stuck in failing schools while the insiders get richer. This is classic big-city liberalism: pretend to care, rake in the taxpayer money, cover up the scandals, and call anyone who complains a problem. And don’t forget the fingerprints of globalist “equity” schemes, coming straight out of the playbook that’s been tanking public education across America.
Why isn’t this scandal bigger? Because the left doesn’t want anyone talking about their failures, that’s why. Conservatives need to keep asking: Why are New Yorkers forced to bankroll this circus year after year? Until we throw out the hacks and start demanding real accountability, nothing will change—not for our schools, our kids, or the future.
