Claire Valdez has just snatched the Democrat primary for New York’s 7th Congressional District, and the left is cheering. But Americans should be alarmed, not excited. This isn’t just another progressive—Valdez is a full-throated socialist, backed by radical Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani, whose idea of “progress” looks more like Venezuela than the United States.
While everyday families are struggling to pay for groceries and fill up their gas tanks, the Democrat machine in New York is doubling down on socialism. They’re picking candidates who want to tear down our economic freedoms, push more government control, and funnel taxpayer money into bloated programs that never work. Once again, they prove that common sense and fiscal responsibility are dirty words in the Democrat playbook.
It’s no surprise that New York’s political elites want to shove another socialist into Congress. That’s the real plan behind all this ‘change’ talk: more power, less freedom, and plenty of cozy jobs for their activist friends. All at the expense of working New Yorkers who just want safe streets, good schools, and a shot at the American Dream. But instead of solutions, Valdez offers the same tired ideology that’s failed everywhere it’s been tried.
Plenty of so-called “progressive” leaders in New York talk about equality and justice. But apparently, justice means emptying your wallet so the government can decide what you deserve. Their version of fairness is more bureaucracy, more taxes, and more control over how you live your life. And if you dare to question this, you’ll get labeled the enemy. Is this what the Founding Fathers fought for?
The socialist takeover of the Democrat party in New York is no accident—it’s by design. Voters should wake up and ask themselves: do they want their city run by politicians who take their marching orders from out-of-touch globalists and radical activists? Is this really the future Americans want for their country? Because when socialism wins, freedom loses.
