The liberal media just can’t help themselves. Even in the face of unimaginable heartbreak, they see tragedy as nothing more than a springboard for their tired, race-obsessed narratives. The latest offense? “The View’s” Sunny Hostin, who thought it was a good idea to spin the murder of Austin Metcalf—an innocent young man whose only crime was showing up to a track meet in Frisco, Texas—into yet another lecture about race in America.
Jeff Metcalf, Austin’s dad, is done sitting idle while elitists on daytime TV twist his son’s story for clicks and outrage points. While the Anthony family, whose own son stabbed Austin to death, was nowhere to be found at sentencing, Hostin and her panel of leftist talking heads were busy posturing and pontificating, totally ignoring the reality: a young life lost, and zero remorse from the murderer’s kin. But why let facts get in the way when you can push the tired victimhood narrative that keeps selling ad space and dividing this country even further?
It’s textbook left-wing hypocrisy. When the cameras are rolling, they pretend to care about victims, but when it comes to families like the Metcalfs—hardworking, law-abiding Americans—they get thrown under the bus so the “experts” can score political points. Not one of them knows anything about Austin, his family, or even the killer they’re defending. They’re too busy hunting clickbait to bother with the pain they’re inflicting on real people.
Let’s be clear: Karmelo Anthony, the murderer, got away with a slap on the wrist. Thirty-five years behind bars is a light sentence compared to what Texas justice should look like for a killer. Families like the Anthonys hide, evade, and refuse to face the consequences. And what’s the left’s response? Make a spectacle, twist the narrative, and ignore the gravity of evil when it doesn’t fit their agenda.
Americans are sick of it. The peddlers of division and chaos can sit in their New York studios spinning yarns about oppression, but out here in the real world, this is about accountability, respect for life, and justice. When does the victim’s family get their day? Or does the radical left only care when it serves their narrative? Enough is enough.
