When Hollywood pushes a woke agenda, the American people are supposed to swallow it with a smile—or else! Take the latest disaster: “Supergirl.” Critics are tossing tomatoes, with less than six out of ten willing to say it’s even watchable. That’s not a conservative talking point; that’s what their own so-called “experts” are saying. Apparently, that makes all of us sexist now, just for not clapping loud enough for another feminist hero we never asked for.
The left loves to scream about empowerment, diversity, and “smashing the patriarchy.” Yet here’s the truth: real empowerment doesn’t come from lecturing the audience with limp scripts and cardboard characters. It comes from real stories and real heroes. But Hollywood would rather pat itself on the back for pushing the latest social justice puppet show. “Supergirl” is the result—another box checked, another massive failure with audiences.
Instead of admitting they missed the mark, the blame gets pointed straight at American viewers. Are moviegoers tired of being insulted and lectured? You bet. If we don’t worship every single overhyped female superhero, suddenly we’re the problem, not the recycled storytelling, cringe-worthy dialogue, or empty political messages. This is how the left operates: manufacture outrage, then hide behind it when their product flops.
Let’s not pretend this is about sexism. This is about quality. Conservatives, moderates, and even many liberals just want good entertainment, not another woke sermon wrapped in a spandex suit. But the Hollywood elite, bowing to globalist money and progressive think tanks, keep churning out the same failed formula. They can’t admit the audience is bored to tears and ready to change the channel.
Here’s a thought—maybe Americans know what they like. Maybe we don’t need every childhood hero to be recast as a mouthpiece for leftist causes. How many more flops does it take before Hollywood wakes up? Or will they keep calling us bigots until there’s no one left in the theater?
