Two monster earthquakes just flattened Caracas and left northern Venezuela in ruins—what’s left of it, anyway. Decades of socialist misrule have turned what was once Latin America’s richest nation into a crumbling basket case. Now, with as many as 100,000 lives possibly lost, ordinary Venezuelans are stranded outside, too scared to even set foot back in their own homes. Who could blame them? Under socialism, “infrastructure” is a dirty word.
As images of devastation pour in, there’s no talk of Venezuela’s so-called leaders stepping up. Predictably, it’s America—the country the global left loves to hate—that’s mobilizing real help. U.S. search and rescue teams from Virginia and California are gearing up to dig through collapsed buildings, risking their own lives to save people whose government abandoned them long ago. Marco Rubio and U.S. officials are scrambling to provide what little this broken state needs just to keep bodies from piling up on the sidewalks.
Meanwhile, globalists wring their hands and call for a “multinational response.” Sure, let’s let Qatar and El Salvador take the lead. Or maybe trust China to monitor the situation with their satellites while actual American muscle does the heavy lifting. Notice who isn’t mentioned: the UN, whose one skill is holding expensive conferences after disaster strikes, and the left-wing international crowd that’s always ready to lecture the U.S. on “compassion.” Isn’t it funny how when disaster hits, it’s U.S. boots on the ground, not some woke bureaucrat in Brussels?
Let’s be clear: this isn’t just about one earthquake or misplaced generosity. It’s about the iron reality of American leadership—and the utter bankruptcy of left-wing ideology. For years, Venezuela slid deeper into chaos while D.C. liberals and their Hollywood pals praised socialist “equity.” Now, with bodies under the rubble, where’s their big talk? Nowhere. Ordinary people suffer when leftist fantasies collapse—literally and figuratively.
America has always answered the call, even when the world mocks us, ignores us, or tries to blame us for everything under the sun. Maybe after this wreckage, some folks on the left will realize you can’t substitute virtue-signaling and government handouts for real strength, real charity, or real infrastructure. Or will they just blame the tremors on “climate change” or “U.S. imperialism”? At this point, does anyone even listen to their excuses anymore?
