The WNBA is tripping over itself to play along with the mob. Instead of celebrating true talent, they’re fueling the backlash and letting woke politics swallow sports whole.
It’s obvious why so many regular Americans don’t bother tuning in. They’re tired of seeing left-wing drama injected into every single play. Leagues like the WNBA should be about skill, not virtue-signaling or putting certain players in their place because they don’t preach the correct politics. But try telling that to those running the show, who’d rather stir up division than let athletes shine.
The attacks on Clark have nothing to do with the game and everything to do with control. She’s not bowing down to the woke crowd, and for that, she has a target on her back. The league could easily stand up for her and show some backbone, but instead, it chooses to act as an accessory to the mob, pushing out anyone who won’t get in line with their political agenda.
This is exactly why so many fans walked away from professional sports in the first place. People want to watch sports—not some activist training seminar. There’s a reason these leagues are losing their audience: Americans are sick of being lectured and told what to think every time they turn on a game.
When will these so-called leaders in sports realize their woke games aren’t working? Maybe they’re more concerned about scoring points with the liberal elite than actually growing the sport.
