For years, the left has treated America’s borders like a joke. Crooked politicians hand out “temporary” amnesty to foreign nationals, then act shocked when it’s finally revoked decades later. This week, after the Supreme Court paved the way for President Trump to end protected status for immigrants from Haiti and Syria, Democrat outrage reached a fever pitch. The so-called “compassionate” elites seem more concerned about non-citizens losing their indefinite freebies than about protecting American laws or American families.
The facts are simple: Temporary Protected Status (TPS) was supposed to be just that—temporary. Yet, for over 20 years, privileged activists and their Democrat puppets fought tooth and nail to let it drag on forever. They clung to word games, pretending the rules didn’t apply if someone threatened their voter base reshuffling scheme. Now, as the system starts to work again, liberals are crying crocodile tears, claiming that “American families” are at risk. Could they be any more out of touch?
What liberals won’t tell you is that all this hand-wringing is about keeping the border lawless and letting the globalist gravy train roll on. Working Americans are forced to foot the bill while politicians cozy up to special interest groups. The only thing melting down here is the Democrat strategy—because when the law is actually enforced, their excuses fall apart.
Democrats love to talk about “fairness.” But where’s the fairness for citizens who play by the rules? Where’s the justice for those left picking up the pieces after liberal open-border experiments? Protecting American jobs and communities should always come first. That’s common sense—except to the people trying to score cheap points every election season.
If liberals are so desperate to keep ignoring our laws, maybe they should explain to working families why their interests take a back seat. Here’s a crazy idea: instead of endless pandering, how about putting America first for once?
