At a time when Democrats tell us crime isn’t a problem and shout down anyone who dares question their soft-on-criminal policies, federal agents just stopped $36 million in fraud right in the heart of New York City. That’s $36 million that would have vanished straight out of the pockets of hardworking Americans and right into the hands of criminals—many of whom take advantage of EBT and food assistance programs that liberals love to expand but refuse to protect. Anyone else tired of the left’s “open borders, open wallets” approach?
Over just three days, law enforcement teams stormed more than 1,000 businesses. They ripped out 35 sneaky card skimmers installed on ATMs and payment terminals in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens—everywhere these so-called “mom and pop” stores operate with little oversight. This is the real result of the progressive agenda: turning our cities into playgrounds for scammers while the rest of us foot the bill. The left keeps defending these failed urban centers, but criminals practically have a roadmap to millions in taxpayer money.
It gets worse every year. Last year alone, over 400 illegal skimming devices were found in similar sweeps, saving nearly half a billion dollars from being stolen. Think about it: That’s money meant for families truly in need, stolen because liberals refuse to confront the ugly truth—when you remove consequences and accountability, crime pays. It pays big. And instead of fixing the system, the left just throws more tax dollars at it, hoping you won’t notice the cash leaking out.
And of course, globalism and big city liberalism will only make it easier for criminals. New York is about to see the FIFA World Cup dump another million tourists and billions in revenue onto unsuspecting locals. Criminal syndicates are no doubt licking their chops, counting on the incompetence and indifference of city leadership. These crooks don’t care about Americans. They want to rob you blind—and big government’s only answer is to tell citizens to “watch out for loose card readers” and “use tap-to-pay if you can.” As if that’s protecting anyone.
What’s the bigger scandal? That this fraud is happening under liberal watch, or that the left would have you believe crime is “mostly peaceful” and there’s nothing to see here? Every skimmer ripped out is a reminder that someone, somewhere, still cares about protecting American families—and it’s clearly not the elites running our so-called “sanctuary” cities. Why is law and order treated like a radical idea these days? Until the left admits their experiments have failed, it’s time we demand integrity, real justice, and leaders with the guts to say: enough.
