The Iranian regime is at it again, flexing its muscles where it shouldn’t. This time, the so-called Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps arrogantly intercepted and turned away three foreign oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz—the world’s energy choke point. Yes, they just decided they could control who comes and goes through this critical waterway, flagrantly undermining international order. It’s the kind of stunt rogue nations pull when they sense weakness in American leadership.
Let’s be honest: these provocations don’t come out of nowhere. The Biden administration’s complete lack of backbone on foreign policy has broadcast American weakness loud and clear. Iran noticed, and now they’re exploiting the vacuum, threatening not just the United States, but global commerce itself. Because with the Strait of Hormuz at risk, the world’s oil supply hangs by a thread. The IRGC knows it and is happy to play with fire.
Remember when President Trump made sure the world knew who was boss? When American strength was unquestioned and our military was respected? Contrast that with today’s feeble, diplomatic tiptoeing that’s emboldened thugs from Tehran to Moscow. Liberals love to talk about peace and partnership, but all their talk has done is invite aggression from hostile actors. Instead of standing tall, they bow to globalists and international bullies.
And where are all the climate crusaders and anti-oil radicals now? Strangely quiet while Iran disrupts the very energy markets they claim are so evil. Apparently, when it’s America providing oil to the world, it’s a crisis, but when Iran tries to choke the supply, the so-called progressives couldn’t care less. Their hypocrisy smells worse than an oil spill.
How long will Americans have to put up with this era of weakness? How long will the free world have to hold its breath while Iran and its cronies play games in one of the most important regions on earth? Maybe it’s time our leaders swap out their apologies for something a little more American—like real strength.
