The Democrat Party is a disaster zone, and even old Obama insiders can see it. Former White House Chief of Staff and Chicago’s failed mayor Rahm Emanuel, a relic of the pre-woke left, is practically shouting into the void. He’s begging his party to remember what winning actually looks like. But listening isn’t something today’s Democrats are interested in. They’re too busy doubling down on their far-left insanity, dreaming up new ways to make blue cities even bluer—and more unlivable.
Instead of taking their cue from the handful of times Democrats actually managed to win big, they now aim to drive moderates and commonsense Americans out of their tent. Emanuel’s recipe for victory was simple—even obvious. You don’t build a majority in Washington by winning San Francisco three times over. You do it by breaking into Republican territory. That was back when his party valued strategy over screaming, policy over posturing.
Those days are long gone. The Democrats are being run by the most radical voices in their own party. Their agenda is hostile to working Americans—especially the ones who don’t worship at the altar of every new social fad. They cast aside reasonable ideas about public safety, ignore families terrified by crime, and push exclusionary politics that do nothing for regular people. It’s an elitist game, meant for the cocktail set, not Main Street.
And here’s the real kicker: even the Democrats don’t understand their own opposition. They still see Trump voters as die-hard right-wingers, when many are economic populists sick of being trampled by the same globalist machine the left now worships. There are millions who could be reached, if only Democrats cared more about real Americans than impressing each other at academic conferences. But that would mean letting go of their anti-Trump, anti-American obsession, and that’s impossible for the woke crowd. Rage is all they have left.
Rahm Emanuel is right about one thing: the Democrats can only win where the far-left already rules. Somewhere along the line, they decided alienating workers, parents, and anyone with a hint of common sense was more important than beating the GOP. Now, their strongholds are overrun with chaos, criminals, and radical activists. Emanuel sees the writing on the wall, but the rest of his party is too busy lighting the match. How much farther can they fall before they burn out for good?
