When a Scottish World Cup fan decided to spend some of his precious time in America hanging out with Ron DeSantis, the left lost its collective mind. Instead of celebrating this simple act of civility and open-mindedness, liberals once again showed their true stripes. They sneered, rolled their eyes, and mocked from their sanctimonious perches—because that’s what the woke crowd does best.
This Scottish visitor, just like Freddy from Germany before him, could see what so many on the left refuse to admit. There is something special about America. Millions flock to the U.S. for a reason. Values like freedom, opportunity, and respectful debate—yes, even with political opponents—still mean something here, at least outside the liberal echo chambers. While so many insulated progressives want to tear this country down, outsiders recognize just how unique and precious it still is.
Governor DeSantis didn’t turn away this foreign fan because of differing views. He welcomed him with a smile and open arms. That’s the brand of leadership Americans need—bold, confident, and unapologetic. The governor isn’t afraid to talk with anyone. Libs love to preach about tolerance, but the second someone crosses party lines or talks to a conservative, they’re labeled as traitors or worse. The hypocrisy is stunning.
It’s laughable to see globalist elites and left-wing pundits meltdown over something as simple as two adults having a conversation. Their overblown outrage exposes the real threat to free speech and honest dialogue in this country. It’s not coming from the right—it’s festering on the left, fueled by their obsession with control and conformity.
Maybe Americans should take notes from our European friends. Appreciate the blessings, defend true liberty, and engage with people—yes, even those we disagree with. If a Scottish soccer tourist can show more courage and civility than most blue-check pundits, what excuse do the rest of us have? Or are we just going to let the angry mob run the show?
