Another illegal alien just got caught running wild over American law. For years, a Honduran national and his crew masterminded a massive payroll scheme, cheating our country out of more than $38 million through slick backroom deals and phony companies. He’s finally getting eight years behind bars, but let’s not pretend this is an isolated incident. This happens when our borders are wide open and the left turns a blind eye in the name of “compassion.”
While everyday Americans slog through taxes and red tape, criminal aliens play by their own set of rules. This particular scheme let construction companies pay under the table, cut corners on payroll taxes, and pad their profits, all on the backs of U.S. taxpayers. The government lost tens of millions, and real workers lost out on honest jobs. But here’s what’s truly sickening: If our immigration system had teeth, this criminal would never have been here to begin with.
Liberals love to talk about protecting the so-called “undocumented” and building a “fair” system. Meanwhile, criminals cause chaos and leech billions from the American people. How many more fraudsters and scammers slip through the cracks thanks to toothless enforcement and woke politicians who care more about foreign lawbreakers than the citizens they’re sworn to serve?
Law enforcement got help from a laundry list of agencies—Homeland Security, IRS, Border Protection, the works—just to chase down a gang of illegal grifters. This shouldn’t be the standard. But with Democrats and their globalist buddies fighting against strong borders and immigration accountability at every turn, is it any wonder the system is constantly being gamed?
Instead of looking out for working Americans, the left coddles criminals and lets the cartels and scammers run the show. Want to end fraud? Slam the door on illegal crossings, back law enforcement, and punish the cheaters—no matter who cries about it. Taxpayers are sick and tired of footing the bill for lawlessness. Maybe it’s time Washington asked: Do they put America first, or do they just keep selling us out?
