It’s almost laughable how the left keeps telling us every vote doesn’t matter. Tell that to the Democrat in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who’s about to lose a mayor’s race by just two votes. That’s right—two votes. When it comes down to it, every single American who cares about the future of this great country needs to actually show up and vote, because liberals are ready to seize power at every tiny opening.
The drama in Sioux Falls is a perfect example of what’s at stake. A strong conservative, Christine Erickson, holds a razor-thin lead over the Democrat challenger. With all the votes in, Erickson is ahead by the slimmest margin you can imagine, but the left is already gearing up for a recount, hoping to scrape together a miracle win at the last second. That’s what Democrats do—when they can’t win outright, they’ll scratch and claw, dragging out the results and sowing doubt about fair elections. It’s a page straight out of their tired old playbook.
Of course, Democrats want everyone to ignore what happened the last time conservatives turned on each other, splitting the vote and handing power to a liberal. Just look at Boca Raton in Florida, where Republicans couldn’t get their act together and a leftist walked away with a big win for the first time in decades. That’s what happens when conservatives don’t unite: the left sneaks in and takes control, and suddenly, it’s open season for lunatic left-wing policies.
Meanwhile, when real conservatives are fighting tooth and nail, our own so-called leaders in Washington can’t seem to get it together. South Dakota’s own senator, John Thune, can’t even move President Trump’s election integrity bill forward. Why? Because too many establishment types are more worried about cocktail parties than protecting the will of the people. The SAVE America ACT is exactly what we need after watching Democrats try to game the system every chance they get—but the swamp doesn’t want real security, just more chaos they can exploit.
These razor-thin elections are a warning: the radical left is always scheming, always ready to overturn real victories. When Republicans get complacent or divided, we hand them the keys to the city hall—or worse, the country itself. So the next time someone says your vote doesn’t matter, ask them why the Democrats are still trying everything to claim victory over two votes. Maybe the lesson here is simple: if we let our guard down for a second, the left will take everything. Are we going to let them?
