It looks like, for once, justice isn’t taking a back seat to liberal whining and criminal coddling. In Utah, a judge just smacked down Tyler Robinson’s desperate ploy to dodge the death penalty in the high-profile murder case of conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk. Robinson and his lawyers tried every trick in the book, begging the court to drop the ultimate punishment. But this time, the court stood strong.
For too long, leftist activists and their media allies have attacked the death penalty, calling it “cruel” while ignoring the cruelty handed down to the victims and their families. The truth is simple: there are some crimes so evil that anything less than the maximum penalty is an insult to justice. Charlie Kirk spent his life standing up for American values — values under constant siege by woke mobs and anti-American agitators. The attempt on his life was more than a personal attack – it was a shot at free speech, at patriotism, at every American who refuses to bow down to the left.
Let’s be clear: Robinson stands accused of assassination. Not some petty crime, not a slap on the wrist — the cold-blooded murder of a man targeted for his conservative beliefs. And yet, here come the same old defenders of chaos, wringing their hands about the “rights” of a suspected murderer while pretending the victim never existed. Where’s the outcry for Charlie Kirk and his family? Where are the marches demanding justice, not for the criminal, but for the man whose life was stolen?
Liberals love to make noise about being “tough on crime” when it fits their narrative. But when push comes to shove, they side with criminals, not victims. They chip away at law and order in the name of so-called social justice, but what about real justice for Americans who actually follow the law? If Robinson gets off easy, what message does that send to every political extremist ready to silence conservative voices through violence?
Thankfully, Utah’s judge refused to surrender to the liberal mob. The death penalty stays on the table. For Charlie Kirk’s sake — and for the future of true justice in America — let’s hope the rest of the country follows Utah’s lead. Or do we really want to live in a nation where murderers get more sympathy than their targets?
