Why Soccer Tourists Love the Real America Liberals Want to Erase

It’s Saturday, June 27, 2026. Not only is it National Sunglasses Day, but it’s also National Ice Cream Cake Day, National Bingo Day, and Helen Keller Day. For most Americans, these cute little celebrations just mean a reason for a sugary treat or a laugh. But look around—for people visiting our great country for world-class soccer tournaments, they’re seeing something that American liberals have forgotten: the simple joy of American traditions and togetherness.

Soccer tourists come here and marvel at our easy, unfiltered way of life. While they cheer on their teams, they see families grilling hot dogs, kids running around with sticky fingers from birthday cake ice cream, old folks digging into their bingo cards at the community center. It’s the American spirit right there—people coming together, having fun, living in freedom. We built this culture on faith, family, hard work, and pride in our nation.

Meanwhile, the left would love for us to believe we should feel guilty about all this. They’d rather lecture Americans about “equity,” erase our holidays, and suffocate local traditions under a blanket of globalist, bland sameness. The problem is, that’s not what draws people here. Liberals parade their so-called forward-thinking ideas, but what they call “progress” is actually stripping away the culture that amazes visitors from every continent.

Ice cream cake, sunglasses, bingo, and even honoring Helen Keller—these days matter because they show what’s unique about America. It’s not about government handouts, or pretending everyone should feel the same way about everything. It’s about the freedom to celebrate, to enjoy the little things, to have a country where diverse people come together without the heavy hand of the federal government telling them how to feel.

It’s no coincidence foreigners come here and fall in love with our way of life—meanwhile, leftists are busy apologizing for it. They want to blur what makes America great in the name of “equality,” but all they do is sow division and take away what makes us special. If liberals hate this country so much, why do so many of their policies drive out the joy, confidence, and unity that attract fans from across the world?

If we let the leftists keep chipping away at everything that makes America, what will we have left? Just one more bland, broken country like the rest of the world? Or will we hold on, proudly, to the spark that has always made Americans stand out? The real question for 2026: Will we stand up for the things that make us great—or keep listening to the people who pretend to “care” while tearing us down?
