Democrats Turn Their Backs on America’s 250th Birthday—Here’s How Patriots Fought Back

Once again, Republicans have to do the jobs Democrats refuse to do. In Pennsylvania, the state’s own Democrat governor, Josh Shapiro, was more than happy to sit out the celebration of America’s 250th birthday—showing yet again how little the left thinks of our national heritage. These liberals seem more interested in pandering to globalists and fringe activists than in honoring the nation that made their positions possible.

Enter Senator Dave McCormick, a conservative who actually understands why America matters. While Shapiro dragged his feet and tried to keep our great state on the sidelines, McCormick stepped up. He isn’t afraid to call out the anti-American nonsense that’s crept into politics. He acted decisively to make sure Pennsylvania won’t be missing from the Great American State Fair in Washington D.C.

What happened? Liberal officials in a handful of blue and swing states—Pennsylvania included—weren’t even planning on taking part in the 250th anniversary celebration. It’s almost like they’re embarrassed by the country they’re supposed to serve. Is it really any surprise? These are the same people who lecture us about “equity” but can’t even stand up for the common values that unite us.

When Democrats get caught neglecting America’s milestones, they’ll give you every excuse in the book—budget issues, logistical problems, or some made-up slight. Don’t buy it. The truth is, too many on the left are ashamed of our founding principles and refuse to take part in anything that stirs up patriotic pride. They’ll wave any flag but the Stars and Stripes.

Thankfully, conservatives aren’t having it. Thanks to Republican leadership, Pennsylvania will stand tall among the states that actually care about this country. Maybe next time, Democrats will remember which side they’re on—or will they keep running away from America? At this rate, the people aren’t going to forget.
