John Kasich just can’t stay away. America thought it was finally done with this champion of weak-kneed, mushy Republicanism after President Trump sent him packing. But somehow, Kasich is back—this time working tirelessly to help non-citizens stick around, even when clear laws and common sense say it’s time for them to go home.
Kasich wants Congress to outrun the Supreme Court and override the Trump administration’s decision to end Temporary Protected Status for Haitians. Remember, this was supposed to be an 18-month pause—*temporary* by definition—after Haiti’s 2010 earthquake. Well, here we are, more than 16 years later, and nothing about this program is temporary. In fact, over 300,000 Haitians are still living in America under this loophole, and just in Ohio alone, thousands have planted permanent roots, buying homes and settling as if they’ve passed every bar for legal immigration.
This is the same tired story over and over. Liberals, along with their RINO enablers like Kasich, bend over backwards to put the interests of foreigners ahead of Americans. Why follow laws and borders when you can just keep extending “temporary” programs forever? Apparently, empathy for Americans struggling to buy homes or find steady work isn’t nearly as trendy as virtue signaling over so-called compassion for migrants.
Kasich spent his entire political life playing nice with the open border globalists and acting like American sovereignty is just some old, outdated idea. He could have used his retirement to reflect on why he crashed out of politics in disgrace, but clearly, he’s learned absolutely nothing. It’s not just cluelessness—it’s a willful disregard for what puts America first. By fighting to keep policies like TPS in place forever, Kasich shows he’s just as out of touch as the worst of the radical left.
Americans used to expect better from our so-called leaders. Now, with people like Kasich still clinging to relevance, is it any wonder regular folks are fed up with Washington’s endless hypocrisy? The real question is: If “temporary” doesn’t mean temporary anymore, what does it say about the rule of law in Joe Biden’s America?
