Once again, hardworking American taxpayers are left holding the bag for someone else’s greed. In the latest outrageous example, a Bronx woman, Ciera Washington, has confessed to stealing millions from Medicaid — a program meant for struggling Americans, not criminals looking for a payday. She and her crew swiped personal data from Medicaid beneficiaries, then used it to fill fraudulent prescriptions all over the Northeast. The damage? Nearly $4 million sucked out of New York’s Medicaid system, and everyday citizens get stuck with the bill.
Liberal bureaucrats and their endless web of “oversight” were supposed to keep Medicaid safe. Instead, these big-government programs roll out the red carpet for scammers. Why? Because waste, fraud, and abuse have become business as usual in bloated government. The left loves to brag about their compassion, but who ends up getting hurt? The vulnerable people Medicaid was supposed to help. Their medical info gets stolen, their privacy gets trashed, and their benefits are at risk. Meanwhile, liberal politicians look the other way, too busy worrying about “equity” and “diversity” to actually protect the system.
Let’s be honest: If it weren’t for Republican leadership cracking down on abuse, this rot would run even deeper. It took President Trump’s administration to launch a task force to root out this garbage and finally bring accountability back to government spending. Only when conservatives are in charge do we see real efforts to stop fraudsters, recover stolen money, and fight for honest Americans. Without these efforts, Medicaid (and every other entitlement program) would just be an open buffet for cheats.
It’s a disgrace that these schemes don’t just rob taxpayers—they drive up the cost of medicine for everyone, endanger patient safety, and flood our communities with prescription drugs. Globalist elites and left-wing ideologues still push for more government-run health care, pretending that bigger is always better. Here’s the reality: The bigger the government program, the easier it is for crooks to rob the people blind. Why should Americans trust failed liberals with their healthcare dollars when this is the mess they create?
When will progressives admit their policies aren’t just incompetent—they’re actively putting people at risk? This is the byproduct of open doors, zero consequences, and mountains of red tape. How much more are taxpayers supposed to take? Maybe it’s time Washington, D.C.—the political swamp and its defenders—finally gets some of the medicine they deserve.
