The league looks the other way, protecting the aggressors, while coaches and teammates egg on this disgraceful behavior. Just last week, a Phoenix Mercury player brutally targeted Clark’s neck and groin. What did her team do? They mocked the whole thing online, posting jokes about the assault. Only after massive blowback did they scramble to delete their tasteless post. Meanwhile, Clark was so badly injured, she had to sit out the next game—her return uncertain.
Was justice delivered? Not even close. The punishment for nearly taking out the league’s biggest draw? A measly one-game suspension and a laughable fine. You’d pay more for a plane ticket than that. To make matters worse, instead of condemning the violence, the Mercury doubled down, posting quotes from liberal icons to make their player out as the victim. This isn’t just incompetence—it’s a twisted celebration of the worst kind of hypocrisy that we see time and again from the left.
Why is Clark hated so much? It’s obvious. She’s a young, straight, White woman and a proud Catholic dominating a league that’s been held together by progressive identity politics. That fact alone drives the woke crowd mad. They resent her success and the attention she effortlessly commands. The hostility began before she ever set foot on a professional court, and Clark faces this animosity every single night. Her teammates see it. Anyone with eyes can see it.
If the WNBA doesn’t stop the abuse and protect the woman who is literally saving their sport, this brief moment in the sun will die as quickly as it began. Maybe that’s exactly what these globalist, anti-American leftists want—a self-sabotage job so the league can keep complaining about inequality instead of actually growing the game. At this rate, does anyone honestly believe the WNBA even wants to succeed?
